Current research on sustainable development has largely focused on Western theories of industrialization and urbanization. By contrast, China's practice of integrated urban–rural development offers a fresh perspective. Drawing on specific cases of rural development and urban–rural integration in Guangzhou, this talk examines how China has explored a distinctive development pathway through practice. It further highlights the vital role of rural community governance in strengthening urban resilience and supporting long-term ecological and cultural sustainability.

当前针对可持续发展的研究主要侧重于西方的工业化与城镇化理论；相比之下，中国的城乡融合发展实践则提供了一个全新的观察视角。本演讲通过剖析广州乡村发展及城乡融合发展的具体案例，深入探讨中国如何在实践中摸索出这一独特的发展路径，并揭示乡村社区治理在增强城市韧性以及推动长期生态与文化可持续发展中的重要支撑作用。
