China's rapid social and economic growth has accelerated immigration from rural areas to cities or suburban areas. In 2018, there are approximately 241 million floating population, accounting for 59.58% of China's total urban population. The increase in shared activity spaces or overlapping of place would inevitably create conflicts. During urbanization, a large number of suburban areas have been integrated into the urban spaces. The process not only reconstruction the model of suburban governance, but also increase the complexity in the management of local government.

中国社会与经济的快速发展加速了农村向城市或城郊地区流动。2018年，中国城镇人口占总人口比重达到59.58%，流动人口约2.41亿人。外来人口的大量涌入使得他们和流入地的市民之间有了更多的交集，日常活动以及所处的空间和场所日渐重叠，难免产生摩擦与矛盾。大批城郊社区在城市化的过程中陆续被纳入城镇空间，重构了城郊社区的治理环境，也增加了地方政府的治理难度。

In recent years, different local governments have demonstrated varied governance characteristics which are problem-oriented and community-based. This gives rise to a large number of innovative, distinctive local practices, but there lacks a platform to collect and share. Our project summarizes and sorts out excellent cases of community governance in China and worldwide, aiming at broadening the horizons of readers from an academic perspective and providing a platform for mutual learning. Besides, we hope our readers would actively seek out and absorb these case studies more fully into their studies/practices.

近年来，各地各部门突出地域特点，坚持问题导向，积极探索社区治理的新路子，涌现了大量富有创新意义的案例，但却缺乏一个平台汇总和分享这些卓有特色的地方实践。本案例集归纳和整理了国内外关于社区治理的优秀案例，希望从学术理论的高度，开阔读者们的眼界，为读者提供交流和互相学习的平台，并希望各位读者采取理论与实践相结合的方式，积极、大胆地吸取并实践案例中值得借鉴的内容。
